We had a very successful night last night. Our nursing home ministry continues to build relationships and minister to those who live there. The No Strings Attached Ministries went out to wash wndows at the Valero. I love this time, it gives us an awesome chance to meet members of our community. It also gives people passing through an idea to take back home and share with their church. So we get to plant many seeds an God gets the glory. God is doing amazing things and we have such an faithful group of people coming. I absolutely love their heart.

Great Things Are Happening

There are a ton of great things happening dthrough CWOB. Patrees Daigle and Rachel Beyer are absolutely shocking people with their mobile snow cone service. They have been handing out free snow cones on hot afternoons. One man commented that in 90 years very few people had ever given him anything. It is so neat to see how simple acts like handing out snow cones can minister to people and teach people about God's love.

The Stories are Rolling In

Last time we were at the laundry mat, a guy questioned one of the youth. He said,"Are you guys Christians?"
Our youth responded that the were and he said,"I can tell. This is a really good thing you guys are doing and I can see that you are doing it because you love the Lord."

Wow. Jesus told us that the world will know we are His disciples by the love we show for one another. It is amazing that this statement told to us 2000 years ago still rings true.

In another instance, we took some pizzas to the nurses at the nursing home. One lady said, " You don't know how long the weekend has been. This is such perfect timing. I have an anatomy final tomorrow."

Our people are really serving in their areas of giftedness and God is blessing their efforts. They are becoming more encouraged each we as they see how God is rewarding their obedience.

I have plenty more. I look forward to hearing about more of God's blessing on our work.

A Pleasure to Serve with You

It has been a real pleasure to serve with you guys. I leave church every Sunday night thinking, "We made a difference tonight." I have seen financial stress melt away, heard stories about people in the nursing home receiving ministry, listened to the NSA's stories about shocking people by serving in Christ's' name... for free. Each of you has used a gift as God has given and we are changing peoples' lives one life at a time, one night at a time. Thank you for your heart and service. You guys rock.

Shock and Awe

This is week 4 of the Church without Borders and God is continuing to amaze me.

Our Nursing Home Ministry is really finding creative ways to minister to the people in our local nursing homes.  This week they had Easter cards that were handmade and had a scripture on them.

The No Strings Attached Ministries went to the hospital and had three possibilities: give people in the waiting room gift cards from Sonic and offer prayer for those waiting, give them to people visiting loved ones in the rooms, or buy the nurses dinner.  Option three was the winner and is probably good because that meant there were no tragedies, and we got to minister to a group of ministers (the nurses) who get little recognition.

The Helps Ministry did some much needed work around the church since we haven't received many helps requests lately.  This ministry has the potential to explode once people catch wind.

FPU is continuing to shock me.  The financial stress of the people taking the class is melting away and people are starting to see a light at the end of the tunnel.

Grow continues to make contacts with those people who are checking out our church. This ministry is a big reason why I am at Central.  It offers people looking for a church a very personal contact with someone from Central and is a blessing and source of encouragement to those who are helping.

It is so awesome to hear how God is using a group of faithful obedient people to change lives.

Church Without Borders Week 2

Church Without Borders went out for its second week and we are really gaining some momentum.  I am still hearing stories about what went on Sunday night.  It is amazing to see each individual's gift.  I am seeing how God is using each of us to to minister with the gifts that He has given us.  There is no mass evangelism happening here.   There are just a handful of people who are available to be used where God leads them.  This handful is making a difference in people's life one at a time. Keep up the great work in His name.

The Church has Left the Building

It was so awesome to see everyone on Sunday at the kickoff.  The spirit among us was so sweet and it was so encouraging to feel the energy and enthusiasm that everyone went off to serve with.  I cannot wait to see what God does through this ministry.  The people of Luling have no idea what is about to hit them.   This Sunday is going to be awesome as well.  Please leave your comments about your ministries your ministries page.

No Strings Attached is headed to the laundry mat to feed quarters in the machines.

Our poverty ministry is headed to the food bank to help with the grounds care so they can spend their money ministering to the poor.

Our nursing home ministry is headed to minister to those in the nursing home.

And our GROW team will be continuing to meet with people new to the church.

I am so excited.  This could absolutely change our community.
